Overview

The Midwest Icon Tour includes some of the most notable icons in this part of the country. The Gateway Arch, Graceland, Branson, and the mighty Mississippi River. This is a beautiful ride that will take us over the Mississippi River four times and offers fantastic scenery with plenty to do and see at our stops.

Temperatures average 70°-100° F this time of year. Thunderstorms and rain can occur at anytime in this part of the country.

Itinerary

Arrival DAYWe ask that everyone arrive before noon this day to give us time to rent bikes and get you settled in your hotel. This evening we will have an orientation dinner, to go over the ride and meet everyone.

Day 1 We head east across Missouri taking in the sites of the open roads on scenic byways to Union, Mo.

Day 2 From Union, Mo, we have a short ride into St Louis and the landmark Gateway Arc. From here we head south, following the Mississippi River to historic Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Day 3 We continue south this day to the "King's" home, Graceland in Memphis, TN. After a tour of the mansion, we head Jonesboro, AK to set up our ride into the Ozarks the next day.

Day 4 A scenic ride through Arkansas takes us to Branson, MO. This historic Ozark town, brings the sites and sounds of the region to life.

Day 5 The tour goes to "Silver Dollar City". Here, a combination of authentic artists and craftsmen, give a realistic look at what life was like in the 1800's. Mixed with modern rides and attractions, the park offer something for all. Spending as much or as little time as you like in the park, Branson offers many venues that you are free to explore on your own.

Day 6 Heading back north after leaving Branson we will have an early lunch in Ozark, Missouri at Lamberts Café (http://www.throwedrolls.com), a very unique family restaurant. Upon arrival in Kansas City we will return the motorcycles and ride the shuttle vehicle back to the group hotel. A Farwell dinner will conclude the tour.
